Abstract
The renewable energies are a growing sector. Learners shall be aware of its importance and the environment protection and removable energies. In this sense, this practical experience will allow them to understand different processes that allow the construction of ecological products based on clean energies. At the same time, learners will be able to develop basis skills such as simple calculations, association of concepts, green and ecological skills.
This activity can be developed individually by learners or as a pair activity (2 learners) that shall be focused on the positive use of renewable energies. Trainer shall maintain a close screw of the work performed by the learners.
Learning Outcomes
The learners will learn how to use daily materials in order to make a fan that works with solar energy.
- Demonstrate capacity of implementing simple calculations and 3D perspective when developing projects
- Apply engineering knowledge by developing the tester
- Gain an insight on how to organize groups
- Increase social responsibility and awareness.
- How to create a solar powered fan
- Develop technological skills
- Develop engineering skills
- Manage time and resources (for achieving objectives)
- Improve social skills such as leadership, organizational conscience, or communication.
Other Instructions
In 5 simple steps you will have your solar powered fan:
- Drill the wood support. Trim both ends of the pen. Make pressure to engage the pen on the chart.
- Take a sheet of wood, drill its centre and connect the motor shaft.
- Cut the knives saucer and fix the tab through small sockets.
- Put the engine in an electrical clamp, screw a lag at the base and hook it into the body of the pen.
- Put the appropriate cable connectors to connect the cell to the motor.
