You will be able to develop this simple experiment in just 4 steps:

  • Once you have selected the flowers you will be using, cut their stems so they are between 12 and 18 cm tall, and remove large leaves.
  • Cut a 6cm slit that parts in two the bottom of the stem. You should now have 2 sections of stem at the bottom of your flower.
  • Take a container for each color you will be using and fill it in with water. Consider that the water should cover all the slit you cut in the stems. Put 20-30 drops of dye per cup.
  • Wait 24 hours so that flowers get colored. Afterwards, cut off the frayed bottom edges.
